In a recent post I included a picture of myself on TV and Cynthia Bartch commented asking how I made the graphic. I thought maybe I should do another post to pass on the great site that I used for not only that graphic but many others.
The site is Photofunia. It is free. It is very easy to use. It is a lot of fun and the results are very impressive. Click on Select Effect, upload your photo, and you can be on a billboard or magazine cover...instant celebrity!
Here are some samples of pictures I have created using Photofunia:

Take the creative process one step further, and after creating your Photofunia photo, take the new photo to Picnik and add text. My husband makes wine, and we needed a label for a bottle I was bringing to my niece's wedding shower. Using a picture of Melissa and Josh, I created this for the label:
The possibilities are endless...I would love to see what creative ideas you have for this program. Please share your photo creations in the comment section.

That is a cool idea. Thanks for sharing. I especially love the kittens at the top.
That's funny I saw someone else had done that vogue photo thing. I figured they just used photoshop to do it. I am going to have some fun with the site now.
Sharon, I am having trouble uploading photos to Active Rain. I was able for awhile, and now I can not. I Have followed the instructions (i.e., Holding down Cntr key before selection icon) but get a popping sound. Is this becasue Active Rain is working on changes to the system or?

Edward and Celia: I'm not sure, but it sounds like a pop-up blocker is the problem. My suggestion is to contact Bob Stewart. He seems to have answers to most problems. I hope he can help you.
