UPDATE: Arabian Nights Prom Pictures-Thanks For Your Help

Back in February, in my post "Dreaming of Jeannie at the Prom" I asked for creative help with decorations for a high school prom with an Arabian Nights theme.  A friend of mine was on the decorating committee and asked for my assistance.

The comments that I received were forwarded to the Prom Committee and they were very grateful.

Here are some photos that were forwarded to me today of the completed project:

A good time was had by all and they sold all the decorations on Ebay for $2000!

Thanks again to those of you who sent in suggestions!

That turned out great!!! And, what a brilliant idea to sell the decorations! You should be really proud, Sharon!

Hi Sharon, Wow! Looks like the students had a fabulous prom. Did they make these? Now how lucky were they to have your help? Thanks for posting pictures.

Elaine and Cynthia  Thanks, but I really don't have anything to be proud about.  I wrote the post asking for suggestions and then I passed the suggestions on.  I was not involved in the decorating.  I supported a friend, that I will take credit for.  I believe they handmade everything.  They did a great job.

Julia and Gina  I'm told it was a great evening.  Thanks for the comments.

That turned out so cute,  Thanks for posting the pics, I just couldn't imagine a prom with that theme.

Penny  You are welcome.  I wasn't sure of the theme either and then once the ideas started coming in I thought it could be pretty awesome and turns out it was!

Beats all the formal dances I went to... where the theme was always "color my world."

Chuck   I hear ya!  Color my World, who could forget that.  I don't remember the theme of my prom, I'm not sure there even was one.

Christina  Your prom wasn't as long ago as my prom, I don't remember too many details, but I know it didn't look like this.  They really did a beautiful job.

Wow.  What a great theme and so professional,  The kids must have loved it and then to sell everything on Ebay what an all around celebration.

Joyce  I was happy to hear they sold the decorations and got so much money for them.  Someone was really thinking!  Thanks for your comment.
