Dover NH Condo Transform Part 4 - Kitchen Tile, Nasty Carpet, Nana's Dresser

We spent all day Saturday and Sunday at the condo and I have lots of photos to share with you.  We are very excited about the kitchen, where the most dramatic transformation is taking place.

kitchen island

We have tile on our little breakfast bar and kitchen wall.

It isn't grouted yet, but looks great.

The white squares on the wall are ivory tiles, not missing tiles.  We are randomly placing ivory throughout the brown to coordinate with the ivory trim on the bar.

We also started painting the kitchen...Ben Moore Ashley Gray   (Which is actually more tan than gray)

We finished painting the Dining Room

Closets were painted! Nasty carpet was pulled up from cellar stairs!

Dresser before

Furniture refinishing has begun...we are refinishing Nana's bedroom set to give it a modern style.

Dresser After

We painted it black, removed the trim piece from the bottom and updated the hardware.

Isn't it amazing what a little effort can do!!! Best of luck.

Stephanie  A little effort can do a lot, but a lot of effort, even more!  We still have the kitchen floor, the entire bathroom, the light fixtures and plenty more painting and tiling to go.  It will be really a nice place when we finish!  Thanks for the comment!

I think that this one wins the prize for most white space or is it just on my screen?

Kathleen   I've had a lot of problems with this particular post.  Originally I couldn't get all the photos to fit.  I've had others tell me that there was a lot of blank space, but I didn't have the white space on my monitor.   I did notice that the photos were overlapped and some of the text was hidden.  I decided today to try and edit it to display better.  I hope I have improved it.  Please let me know how it looks on your monitor now that I have changed it.  Thanks for the comment.

Sharon - I love the color you chose for the dining room.  And... as for the dresser - WOW!

Congratulations.  Your post is being featured in the group; Staging Before & After Pictures.

Kathy:  Thanks! I've had very good luck with painting furniture black, it makes such a dramatic difference.

Sharon, the tile in the kitchen looks great!  Tile and Stone always makes a huge difference. The main thing is that everyone looks like they are having a good time!
