There's only about a week left of Summer vacation for Rye Jr. High students.  Student orientation is August 24, 2011 and their first day of school is August 30, 2011.

 

Rye Jr. High - School Supply List - All Classes


school suppliesLarge three-ring binder (that zips closed) to hold pocket folders, notebooks, and papers

Plastic pencil bag (kept in front of 1½" three-ring binder that holds the school agenda book)

Pencils with erasers, Blue and Black pens, Red pens for correcting

Post-it notes (2” x 2”) – 2  pads

Yellow highlighter

Box of colored pencils (12 minimum)

Reinforcements 

Basic Calculator

Small handheld pencil sharpener (that catches the shavings)

 

Additional Supplies for 6th Grade

Additional Supplies for 7th Grade

Additional Supplies for 8th Grade

Ah Sharon, this takes me back. If I go back far enough I can remember getting this stuff for myself LOL. No it wasn't back in the days of slates LOL.

Sharon : Now that list doesn't look too bad. Some schools include specific brands and all the high end things. Imagine if you had to add uniforms to the list! I could hardly wait to burn mine.

Your schools start earlier than ours, we don't start until after labor day ever.

Roy:  Thank you and thank you for the beautiful flower too!

Janice:  I think we can all remember the thrill of new "back to school" supplies!  It was always an exciting time for me!

Valerie:  I never had to wear a uniform, well except a gym uniform and it was hideous!

Shar:  We always used to start after Labor Day, not sure what happened.

Lou:  Much to the relief of the parents, LOL!
