Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture today. Soon winter will be here
Harry: Winter will be here all toooo soon! Fall is my favorite time of year, and I look forward to enjoying that before the cold hits us.
Beautiful picture Sharon...........did Gidget and Idol get to see this when they were visiting?
Nice shot, I think in a few months we will be wishing we were back in the dog days of summer....
That is fantastic!
Nothing like the beauty of a Monarch Butterfly ;). Thanks for sharing.
Roger: Thanks. No, this wasn't taken recently. I took it on a vacation in Maine a couple of years ago.
Gerry: For all the complaining I do about the heat, I complain more about the cold. Luckily, we still have my favorite time of year yet to come, Fall.
Carol: Thank you!
Janice: They are beautiful! Glad you enjoyed it.
Sharon, I have a butterfly bush in my backyard but I've never been lucky to make a perfect shot.
Anna: Well I hope this picture inspires you to try again!
Sometimes pictures on Wednesdays look so perfect, and this is one of em!
Chris: What a great compliment, thank you!
Hi Sharon, I am such a butterfly fan. They are for sure "master transformers". Great shot!
Barbara: I forgot I had this picture, and came across it yesterday. Just in time for Wordless Wednesday. Glad you liked it.
I am always impressed with the complex yet simple beauty of this butterfly. Nice picture. I tried to vote for Zach's picture but I couldn't get the link to work.
Hi, Sharon. The designs on butterflies' wings never cease to leave me in AWE.
I was in Florida one year when the Monarchs were migrating to Mexico. The air was black with them; they were like a solid wall.
Dan: I just clicked on the link and it took me right to Zack's picture. I don't know why it didn't work for you, but I really appreciate that you tried. Thanks!
Leslie: That must have been awesome! I would love to see so many in one place. It had to be a very surreal experience.
I used to have thousands of them stop by my back yard when I lived in College Station, Texas, directly in the path of their migration to Mexico and back. I love them. They are so pretty when they flutter in the breeze.
Russel: I don't have many here in my yard...I live in the woods and don't get much sun. I get especially excited when I see them.
What a gorgeous photo Sharon!
Debra: Thank you!
