When you fall, you get right back up and dust yourself off and try again...right? Wrong! You don't give it a second try unless you know what you did wrong the first time.
Understanding what the mistake was, so you don't repeat it, is the key to success.
I see agents around me make mistakes with contracts all the time and dealing with people.
We all make mistakes in life. In general they are ok. Not that we want to make mistakes, particularly devastating, earth shattering mistakes but they are the exception rather than the rule.
Most mistakes are minor, somewhat annoying and we move on. Or do we?
Mistakes Can Be OK But Lessons Need To Be Learned.
That is where most people fall down. They DON'T GET the lesson from their mistake. In other words, don't do that again!! Like missing a question on a test early on in training and then NOT missing that question on the FINAL EXAM again. It may be an oversight in your growth that you tripped up the FIRST time. But don't make the mistake AGAIN.
It's your life to trip and stumble as much as you need or as slow as it takes for you to GET THE LESSON. It really is all up to your awareness and REALIZING you had gone astray. Do what is right and don't make the mistake the SECOND time.
Don't make me send Sister Mary Francis after you with her ruler!!! LOL.

It is so true that you have much to learn from mistakes. One of life's little funny ways! We learn and it helps us grow our knowledge.
So true- we all learn from our mistakes. Just not making so many is the key.
We can't beat ourselves up about a mistake if we learn from it and don't make them again.
Sharon-A big thank you for reblogging this. Mistakes... everyone makes them; NOT everyone learns from them.
Thanks for reblogging this, Sharon. I love Gary's work but had missed this one.
For some reason, this post remind me of the definition of insanity....doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.
mistakes cause adversity, and adversity creates resilience, develops maturity, and provides for greater opportunities. so with that said mistakes and failure are a healthy part of making it to the top. check out my blog on failure.
Sharon
If we keep getting up after we fall we will fine a way to succeed.
Good luck and success.

Hi, Sharon...you know that old cowboy saying, "Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment!"
Leslie: No, I never heard that saying....very good!
