I kind of like that Conway Twitty look. Now he needs to dye it jet black.

Hi Sharon!
LOL!! That is way cute!! I wonder if I can get my husband to try out a perm, although it would only work on the bottom half of his head considering the top half is bald! ^_^

Jeff: I don't think so, lol! My dad has been grey as long as I can remember and there will be no changing that now.
Mom: I agree!
Teral: This was many years ago, and it still makes me laugh!

Gerry: He was lucky it was only water, not a real perm. They were just trying it to see how a perm would look.
Gloria: No, he had decided he might want a perm and she used perm curlers and water to show him how it would look. Needless to say, the real perm did not happen.
Jim: It was a moment of insanity and we all had a good laugh over it.
Lisa: My dad's hair went grey very early, but bald has not been a problem. It sounds like your husband would look like Curley from the three stooges!

Sharon - Was this one of those Toni box perms? I had (and still have) curly hair, so I was never treated tortured with one of those box perms. My sisters were not so lucky!! LOL

Sharon... I once went out with a hairdresser...and she was a bit of a cougar, and told me a Mullet..perm was the way to go, she was sleeping with me so I agreed...luckily I don't believe there is any photo evidence of the short term incident.

Judy: No, not a Toni, it was just water to see what a perm would look like. It was a practice, thank God!
Steve: Now this is info I wasn't expecting to receive from posting these pictures! If only there were photos...you really should find one to share with your close friends here on AR. So, it is true that women can make men do pretty much anything!
Diane: Good for you! I'm so glad we made you smile!
Debra: I've had many a bad perm in my life. It's not fun and it wasn't usually very attractive, so I am not sure why I kept repeating the mistake!

My brother had one of those, for real. I'm pretty sure it was better than what he had...wavy, kinky, curly red hair that he wore way too long...and hippie 'fro was "chic" right? =o) ( The tiny print on the pic says my brothers face has been blurred to protect the innocent, ME!=o)

Sharon,
I had a perm a long time ago and my hair is still curly from it. The chemicals used changed the structure of my hair. At least I do not still look like a poodle!

Hi, Sharon. You said "wordless" but I think "speechless" is more apt! This is hysterical!
My mother used to give me a Tonette home perm the night before school started every year, over my howls of protest, and I always had to go to school on the first day looking like I'd stuck my finger in a live socket and reeking of ammonia. Baaaaaad memories!!!! Those plastic curler things with the little teeth HURT, too!
