Baby's First Bath - An Update On Jack's First Week Home

baby feet

I've written four whole blog posts without reference to the new grandbaby...

I figure you must be dying for an update!

Jack had a bit of a problem adjusting to life at home and spent his first two nights nursing and crying.  This left his parents with no sleep.

Things are now looking up and they seem to have fallen into a much more reasonable schedule, leaving everyone a little more rested.

Jack had his first bath this week, and although I wasn't there, I hear he did very well.

The bath came at just the right time, because Daddy's inexperience in feeding left Jack with some milk in the folds under his chin.

Pretty much he has been eating, sleeping, and spending quality time with the folks.  He has had lots of visitors who adore him.

It's been a very busy week for all and a real adjustment for the two kitties who are afraid of Jack and won't come out of hiding.

Sharon - he's adorable.  And it always amazes me just how much one tiny little person can reduce free-thinking adults to babbling fools.  LOL

He is just precious!  I am sure Grandma would be all to happy to watch little Jack so his parents could get some rest!  What an exciting time for you all!

Carla:  Thank you!  My daughter-in-law sent the bath picture and I just had to share!

Carol:  You have that right.  I just sit and stare at him in awe, and could hold him all day.  You would think I have never seen a baby!

Sheila:  I will be doing plenty of sitting, don't you worry!  I just won't get anything else done!

Eric:  You called it...I haven't seen him at all today and won't see him tomorrow.  I will be there Friday though!

Kat:  He is, isn't he!

Sharon, I love the one of his little feet!  This is an added bonus of AR; getting to know just a little bit more about the people we comment on and read about daily.

Kathy:  I love that picture too!  I was holding him the other day and his little feet were rubbing my arm and I loved it!  They are so soft!

That is one beautiful baby!  He is just precious! The other thing that caught my eye, is the plastic bathtub. I am going to guess that came home with him, from the hospital. I have one EXACTLY like it, that came home with my beautiful boy 32 years ago!

Sharon he is absolutely gorgeous.  You are going to have so much fun being a grandmommy!

Cynthia:  Aren't they adorable!!  I am very taken by this little guy!

Cheryl:  That's funny!  Those tubs are useful aren't they?  Yes, it came home from the hospital with him and it won't be long before he outgrows it!  I bet it doesn't feel like 32 years ago, does it?

Debra:  You bet I am!  Thanks!

Ahhhh....so adorable! Well... there is no way you can be too proud. Just remember grand parents are supposed to give their grandchildren back at the end of the day and not stay the whole week! :)

Congratulations, Jess Graves
