Thankful Thursday-A Vision of Thanks - Sunset

sunsetSo many things to be thankful for:  good health, parents, children, home, financial security.  When you really think about it, though, we wouldn't have any of it without life in the first place.

Being here to enjoy all that life has to offer is the greatest gift.

Whatever your situation, no matter how difficult or challenging..

There is always something to be grateful for.

The more attention you give to the parts of your life that you are thankful for, the more blessings you will receive.

For a richer, healthier and happier you, take some time to reflect on the good in your life and, each day as the sun sets. count those blessings!

Sharon, great reminder. Too many times we only focus upon the negative--and that, just as everything else, will change.

Posted by John Mulkey, Housing Guru (TheHousingGuru.com) almost 3 years ago

John:  Spend too much time concentrating on negative and you will only attract more negative into your life!  I appreciate your comment, thanks!

Sharon--I love this inspirational post and the photo makes me long for the waterfront.  We only live a bout one mile from Lake Erie.  Perhaps that we be an after dinner jaunt to watch the sunset.  Thanks for sharing.

What a great post Sharon - I am a firm believer in positive thinking!  More importantly I believe in being thankful and using those words as often as possible.  The more "sun" we spread, the less clouds there seems to be.  Needed this reminder today - thanks and good luck in the contest.

Sheila:  "The more sun we spread, the less clouds there seems to be."  It couldn't be stated better!  And goes so well with my picture, too!  Thanks!

I am so grateful and blessed, but I know I take it for granted sometimes.   Life is good!

Sharon,

Great sunset photo...but more importantly GREAT words of wisdom.  Life just isn't meaningful unless we can know how to count our blessings and be thankful for all that we are given. Thanks!

Irene:  Well, you have made my day!  I'm glad you like the photo, but don't count yourself out just yet!  Thank you so much!

Cindy:  I agree!

Michelle:  Thanks!  It takes work, it's not easy when things are difficult, but those are the times we need a strong friend to remind us it is going to be ok.

Sharon - beautiful sentiment and a beautiful picture. Did you photoshop that reflection or is it straight from the camera?

Posted by Mike Saunders (Lanier Partners) almost 3 years ago

We all, at times, take life for granted. Great message and photo.

Posted by Rebecca Gaujot, Realtor WV Real Estate in Greenbrier County (Coldwell Banker Stuart & Watts Real Estate) almost 3 years ago

Mike:  Thank you!  My husband took this photo while we were on a cruise.  I enhanced the color in Picnik, but no I did not add the reflection, it is original to the photo.

Rebecca:  Thank you!

Sharon--Yes, we watched the sunset last night and I post a few pics.  Thanks for the inspiration.  we live so close, but don't go often enough.

Posted by Mary Yonkers (Howard Hanna/Alan Kells Schools of Real Estate) almost 3 years ago

Mary:  I'm very happy you followed through and watched the sunset.  Your pictures are beautiful!  Thanks for the mention, too!

I can't blame you for not waiting until Thursday to post this. We all have a lot to be thankful for if we just pay attention to our lives. Awesome picture!

Posted by JL Boney, III Columbia, SC Real Estate (Russell and Jeffcoat) almost 3 years ago

This is so true.  We take things for granted.  A dear friend's husband (picture of health) was diagnosed with neck and head cancer on May 13th.   He is very positive and inspiring with his words through this trial.  You can follow his story here www.caringbridge.org/visit/toddbevis.

They have an 8 year old who turned 8 the week he was diagnosed.

Definitely take time to count your blessings and Thank God for your good health.
