Here is an easy, fast, and healthy alternative to the traditional breakfast. It is especially good for those days you have to run out the door and are short on time.
Blueberry Banana Breakfast Smoothie
1 Cup Ice (or handful of ice cubes)
½ Cup Frozen Blueberries
1 Small Banana
2 Heaping Tbsp Protein Powder
1½ Cups Rice Milk
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Strawberries may be added or replace blueberries. Enjoy!

Oh yummy. I think I might try this...GREAT idea for those of us who don't have time to sit down and eat breakfast, too!
I have got to get back to protein based morning and day .. it makes me so much smarter
Thanks for sharing...I need to try this. It is so much better than my kids sugary cereal....well, better for me anyway.
Dora: I drink it while doing my make-up in the morning. I multi-task! I hope you enjoy it!
Eric: I don't know how much smarter this will make you, but it sure saves time!
Tina: Those kid's cereals are so bad! I didn't know any better when my kids were small and that is what they got. I only buy the healthy cereal now.
Thanks - I sent the recipe to my daughter in college and she can't wait to try it!
Sharon - Now that it is getting hot here in Florida that smoothie sure does look good. I'll have to make one here in the next few days.
Sharon - Sounds great! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
Wanda: That's awesome. I hope she likes it.
Robert: I not only have it in the morning, I sometimes make one in the afternoon. Enjoy!
Kenneth: You are welcome. I hope you get a chance to try it.

Debi
Lynn: It is so handy to drink your meal...I like to multi-task whenever possible! Thanks.
Debi: I hope you don't think this one is awful...give it a try and let me know!
Looks great Sharon and I love the color. I used to add some pineapple juice too to my fruit smoothies. Have you ever tried a green smoothie? I tried one about a year ago and have made one every morning since. I tried a lot of different combinations and came up with the one I liked best: 2 bananas, 1 lemon, 2 heaping tsp. ground flax seeds, and 2 handfuls of kale. Lee says it looks like pond scum, but it doesn't taste like it :)
Carol: I bet the pineapple juice sweetens it up nice! I have never tried the green smoothie, but I will. I have all the ingredients except the ground flax seeds. Do you use any liquid or ice?
I'm going to try this. It looks great. It would make a great Lake Norman breakfast drink! I can see myself watching the sunrise with that in my hand.
I bought a special blender to make smoothies and haven't used it yet. This should motivate me.
Wendy: That sounds so peaceful and inspiring. Go for it!
Connie: Take advantage of this wonderful recipe and make yourself a nourishing treat!
My husband makes smoothies every morning, they are so much better for you than coffee.
Cindy: That's great, good for him! What does he use in his?
Hi Sharon,
I bet you could make this with soymilk too. Thanks!
Susan: Absolutely! Soy milk is just fine! Thanks!
