It's not what you think. I know after a hard day of moving furniture many stagers would like a chiropractor and a glass of wine, but that is a whole other post.
When considering other occupations to partner with for marketing purposes, the obvious choices for a Home Stager are Realtors, home improvement and painting stores, and furniture boutiques. I recently had the opportunity to join forces with some businesses that at first glance wouldn't be first choice.
A local chiropractor put together "A Women's Day of Indulgence" and invited me to participate. The day would offer free services...chiropractic, acupuncture, massages, make-up consultations. A local restaurant was invited to provide appetizers and wine.
At first, I didn't see how I fit in with all the pampering and what seemed to be a holistic medical gathering.
After hearing the details, I was excited to be included...I was asked to be the redesign, decorating, "HGTV" expert. Most women do love to watch HGTV and most have questions on decorating.
There were sign-up sheets for people to have a chiropractic spinal exam, a massage, and/or a consult with the acupuncturist. The make up artists had an area designated for their consults and the restaurant had their own space.
I had my corner with a display of
before and after photos
and some business cards and brochures.
We gave prizes out throughout the event.
As a prize, I donated a basket of candy and wine.
I created my own wine label.
"Transformations, The Wine Cellar For Home Sellers"
Here is how we tied all the businesses together for marketing:
Align Your Spine
Soothe Your Muscles
Balance Your Energy
Reveal Your Best Face
Nourish Your Body
Harmonize Your Environment
I am happy to say that the event was a great success and we plan to do it again, in one of the other business locations.

Hi Sharon,
Congratulations on taking advantage of a 'not so obvious' opportunity (well to some that is) as this event introduced you to a whole new group of prospective clients ~ Hmm - you just gave me an ideal...
Thanks for sharing ~
Tosha: Thanks! I hope the idea I gave you works out! Maybe you will post about it! Good luck!
I hope it works out too and I'll definitely keep you posted ~

Sharon, love the play on words on the wine label!
I am participating in a similar event this week geared towards women--I hope it is as successful as yours!
Sheridan: Thank you, but I can't take credit for it. I asked for help from my AR friends and they came through.
Linda: I wish you much luck and success with your event.
What a CREATIVE and FUN way to do a little prospecting. A great example of thinking outside the box. Hmmmm.
Janna: There you go, find yourself some practitioners to partner with and have your own day of indulgence!
Great marketing, how cute is your wine label and saying. Great Stuff!
Cindy: Thanks. My husband makes wine so I figured I should find a way to tie it into the business!
Sharon,
Good for you and the other business owners to put this grand idea together! It really is all about exposure and thinking outside of the norm to bring new clients your way. Congratulations on this successful marketing plan!
Michelle: Thanks! I look forward to the next one. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it was the chiropractor who put us all together.
Sharon: What a terrific promotion for you an the other participants as well as the lucky ladies who were able to take advantage of all the good things. Let's hope you get some calls from this!
Debra: The women who took advantage of the deal seemed to have a really good time. It was a great event, I'm glad I participated in.
